Soak groats overnight each in 1 cup water. Add a tsp of ACV to the groat cup to help with their digestion. The next morning, rinse them both very well in a colander.
Blend up in a blender the groats, cashew cream (see recipe below), nut milk, syrup and salt until creamy.
Set aside 1/2 cup, add 1 tbsp cacao powder to the remaining half in the blender, blend up, add a bit more milk if it seems “dry”.
Pour both the “vanilla” and chocolate in a bowl, drizzle with warm chocolate hazelnut sauce (we just mix 1/2 cup cacao, 3 tbsp maple syrup, 1/2 cup melted coconut oil, teaspoon of Justin’s Hazelnut Butter (yes, it’s vegan!!) and adorn with nuts and fruits. Yummy!
- 1/2 cup buckwheat groats
- 1/4 cup cashew cream (recipe below)
- 1/2 cup nut milk
- 1 tsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp cacao powder
- pinch of salt
Simply blend equal parts soaked cashews and water with a dash of lemon juice and salt. This can be used as a healthy filler for many recipes.
