How to Make a Fruit Latte
1. Choose your latte flavor!
2. To make it hot, bring the milk to a soft boil until it is steaming. Turn off the stove, and stir in your coconut butter/oil, and fruit.
3. Pour the mixture into a blender, and process until creamy.
4. To make it cold, blend ingredients without heating them.
5. To make a foam top, use a creamier milk - such as oat or cashew - and then use a hand-held frother on the drink once it's assembled and in a mug.
6. Optional : If you want your drink sweeter, stir in the every faithful maple syrup.
Boosting Your Latte
And I add a teaspoon of healthy fat coconut butter or coconut oil to give the drink an added boost - the addition actually helps stave off hunger for a time.
So these drinks really are perfect for an afternoon pick-me-up. And you can make them as is, or use my recipes as a jumping off point. In fact, I think I might experiment with adding veggies.
After all, I add zucchini and cauliflower to my smoothies, here and here, so why not lattes?
