Basic Chia Pudding Recipe

- 1/3 cup Chia Seeds – I use this brand
- 1-2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract or powder
- 1 pinch of sea salt
for Chocolate Chia Pudding, mix in..
- 2 tbsp cacao powder
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
for Blueberry Chia Pudding, mix in..
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 1 cup berries
- 1 tsp lemon juice
for Superfood Chia Pudding, add one of the following..
Stir the Chia seeds into the milk with a spoon. Put in the refrigerator overnight, stirring another time 10 minutes later. Next morning, stir in your desired flavors. If you want the bother, you can blend to remove the seedy texture, but most people love the gel-like seeds. Enjoy!
Why make chia pudding? Because chia seeds are nutrition powerhouses with 60 % of their lipid profile being omega-3s, making them one of the top plant-based sources of these essential fatty acids which reduce inflammation, spark brain power and reduce high cholesterol. They also pop in fiber, antioxidants, minerals, satiety, and are gluten-free. Oh, and they come in black or white, with black easier to find, the nutritional profile is about the same. Enjoy!
