I made mine with mango and lime here, and one with acai the other day. But actually you can probably go wildly creative and use any fruit combo you want. Be sure to use a good quality sparkling water, and by all means don’t use a brand that adds sweetener or other additives. Keep it fresh, plant-based and healthy! makes 3 cups of smoothie
- 1 cup mango
- 1/2 cup frozen berries or your choice of fruits
- 1 cup plant yogurt
- 1 to 1/2 cup sparkling water
- 1 tbsp lime
Let’s make this easy, grab and go. To start, build a store for frozen fruit. It is useful to freeze fruit just before it goes bad – chop it in chunks and freeze on cookie sheets and then store in containers. That way, no food waste!
Regarding the yogurt. Maybe it’s easier for you to buy it, but sometime you might want to try making it at home. Try my coconut yogurt recipe here, and my cashew yogurt recipe here.
To make this sparkling wonder, blend up the fruit and yogurt, and pour into a glass. If you want it thick, add 1/2 cup of sparkling water; if you want it more liquidy, add a cup. Either way, this drink tastes best when you drink it right away before the fizziness dissipates.
