Homemade Sweet Hemp Milk
Sweet hemp milk is delicious, easy to make and full of nutrition. Made from hulled hemp seeds, sometimes called “hemp hearts” the resulting milk is rich in protein – twice as much protein as is in flax or chia seeds. It’s also full of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and contain powerful anti-inflammatory properties that help metabolize fat and repair muscles, especially after exercise.
And it’s delicious! If you haven’t tried it, you must!

How To Make Homemade Hemp Milk
Homemade nut or seed milks are fairly easy to make if you have a high-speed blender, including almond, cashew, quinoa and more, but I found this milk particularly easy.
That’s because, unlike some milks, you don’t need to pre-soak hemp seeds or even strain it after blending.
Just blend them out of the package with water in a high-powered blender and you have a delicious plant-based milk.
How Else Can I Use Hemp Hearts?
You can toss hemp hearts on a smoothie, cereal or nicecream, or you can make a creamy nutritious milk to use in coffee, cereals and even keep make it extra thick and creamy, as I did here.
