A creamy broccoli smoothie with fruit is made with 4 ingredients, without banana, and is nutrient dense thanks to broccoli, but tastes sweet from fresh oranges, and creamy from frozen milk ice cubes.
¾cupsbroccoliraw, fresh or frozen, florets or crown
½cuporange segmentsnavel, clementines, mandarins
½cupcarrotsraw, chopped or shredded
½cupmilk ice cubes
½cupmilk
Instructions
Pour milk into ice cube trays and freeze for at least 2 hours. Freeze fresh raw broccoli florets if not using pre-frozen.
Add ingredients to a blender. Be sure to add only broccoli florets, cut off the stem which won't break down well.
Process until smooth, about 30 seconds or longer if things aren't fully broken down. Taste and add more oranges if you need it to be sweeter.
