An easy homemade chocolate sauce recipe that you can make with 3 ingredients in 3 minutes. No corn syrup but tastes just like Hershey's - drizzle on ice cream or brownies.
Put all ingredients - except half the maple syrup - in a bowl or pyrex measuring cup.
6 tablespoon cocoa powder, ¼ cup maple syrup, 6 tablespoon milk
Put the mixture in the microwave for 30 seconds and whisk until smooth. Or you a hand frother.
Taste and decide if you need to add the rest of the maple syrup for flavor. And toss in a pinch of salt and a teaspoon of vanilla extract for extra flavor, and stir again.
Storage
Store the sauce in a sealed jar in the refrigerator for 5 days. Do not freeze as condensation ruins the sauce.

Notes
Use a dry bowl and spoon when mixing so the chocolate sauce doesn't seize or clump. The sauce can be warmed before serving. Microwave it at 15 second intervals until it is as warm as you want before serving.Make your chocolate sauce extra thick by adding 2 tablespoons of peanut butter or any nut butter. Warm the nut butter in the microwave first for about 30 seconds to make it creamy and runny before stirring it into your sauce.
