A chocolate zucchini smoothie, rich with cocoa and fresh zucchini, made in 5 minutes with 5 ingredients with no banana and no refined sugar. A thick zucchini smoothie that energizes and tastes like a chocolate frosty.
Wash and chop the zucchini. Peel and pit the avocado.
Add all ingredients to the blender.**
½ avocado*, 2 tablespoon cocoa powder, 2 cups milk, 1 cup zucchini*, ¼ cup maple syrup
Process about 30 seconds to 1 minute until smooth.
Taste for sweetness and add more maple syrup if needed. You can drink right away or chill first for a few hours.
Storage
Refrigerate this smoothie for 24 hours. Freeze in ice cube trays, and bag to save long term, or up to 3 months.

Instead of zucchini, you can use a banana.Instead of maple syrup, you can use two dates. Drop them in just-boiled water for 2 minutes, pit and add to the blender.*You can chop the avocado and zucchini and freeze them ahead of time for a frosty flavor right away, or you can make the smoothie and chill it in the refrigerator.**Additional flavorings, you can add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, ⅛ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon instant coffee granules.
