Learn to make a hot Pumpkin Spice Lattein 5 minutes at home with fresh pumpkin puree. High in protein, lower in sugar and no artificial ingredients. Better and cheaper than Starbucks!
Make coffee. Brew your coffee and put it into the mug you want to serve your PSL in.
Make a homemade pumpkin spice syrup. In a blender jar, make the syrup by blending brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla and salt.
1 teaspoon brown sugar, 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice, 2 teaspoon vanilla, pinch salt
Make pumpkin milk. Then spoon into the blender jar the pumpkin puree, the milk and blend again.
¾ cup milk, 3 tablespoon pumpkin, canned puree
Froth the pumpkin milk. Froth the pumpkin milk mixture and warm in the microwave for 1 minute.
Add pumpkin mixture to coffee. Pour into the hot cup of coffee. Froth again or stir.
½ cup coffee (brewed or made with instant)
Top with cream. Spoon some cream on top and sprinkle with spices.

Instead of pumpkin puree, you can use sweet potato puree instead.Instead of brown sugar, use coconut sugar instead to keep the drink refined sugar free. Maple syrup also works.Make the syrup in a pot on the stove. Add syrup ingredients plus a few teaspoons of water and stir into a slurry. Don't burn.
