Strawberry Watermelon Milkshake (no ice cream, dairy free)
Creamy and cooling, this strawberry watermelon milkshake blends sweet fruit, milk, and chia seeds into a healthy dairy free watermelon smoothie without ice cream and with no bananas.
Prepare watermelon. Cut into rough chunks. You can freeze them or use fresh.
Shake the coconut milk can, and open and measure.
Make milkshake
Add all ingredients to a blender.
¾ cup strawberries, frozen, 1 cup watermelon, frozen or fresh*, ⅓ cup coconut milk, canned & full fat, 2 tablespoon yogurt, 1 tablespoon chia seeds, 2 tablespoon lime juice, pinch salt
Blend about 1 minute.
Pour and enjoy right away or chill up to 10 hours.
Notes
*If you are using fresh watermelon, not frozen, use ½ cup, add an additional 1 tablespoon of chia seeds, and definitely let the ingredients sit for 5 minutes before blending so the chia seeds can gel up and thicken the texture.
