Learn how to make ginger juice using fresh ginger with or without a juicer. This blender ginger juice is a strong anti-inflammatory and supports the gut, calms nausea and boosts immunity. Also perfect for cocktails and to boost other drinks and soups.
Clean the ginger root by scraping with a paring knife or even the back of a spoon. No need to peel, just remove bad areas. Wash with water. Boil for 10 minutes if you want to eliminate all possible germs so you can store up to 2 weeks.
2 cups fresh ginger root
With a blender
Add to a blender, along with the water.
4 cups water, 2 cups fresh ginger root
Process for 1-2 minutes until you have a pulpy mixture.
Strain the mixture, and the captured liquid is your ginger juice.
With a juicer
Add to a juicer. Don't add water. Process according to instructions of your juicer.

Storage. Refrigerated ginger juice lasts about two weeks in a sealed jar. To save it longer, freeze it in ice cube trays.How to drink. Use ginger juice to make ginger shots, or just sip it straight or diluted, add seltzer water to make a healthy ginger ale, or use to make ginger beer or ginger tea.*Make ginger powder. You can throw out the pulp, but if you want to use it, spread it in a pan and bake it at 150 F for three hours in the oven. Grind it into a powder in a blender or food processor.
