Step 1: Cream butter and sugar. Add apple sauce and mix up wet ingredients. Then sift in dry ingredients.

Step 2: Fold in mini chocolate chips. I prefer  mini chips because they allow more space for the cookie to bake around them.

Step 3: Scoop a few tablespoons of batter into balls and line them on a lined baking pan. Bake for 10-12 minutes until just cracked on top and a touch of golden edges.
