Gather Ingredients rolled oats lemon juice maple syrup vanilla

Step 1: Add rolled oats, lemon juice and water to your blender.

Step 2: Blend up the oats, water and lemon juice until JUST combined. Don't over blend or you'll activate the starches and create a gluey texture.

Step 3: Pour the blended milk through a fine Strainer.

Step 4: Gently nudge the oat residue with a spoon but don't press, again to avoid activating the starches.

Step 5: Add flavors to the strained milk including maple syrup (to sweeten), vanilla and cinnamon (optionally). Taste-test until you have the flavor you want.

Step 6: Refrigerate your homemade oat milk for three days. Shake before using to disburse residual oat specs. Enjoy your creamy milk made for pennies.
