Ingredients
Almond flour. You can sub other flours such as oat flour or coconut flour, but you'll have to adjust for their varied amounts of absorbency.
Yogurt. Use any yogurt, including zero fat, cashew yogurt, coconut yogurt, or even Greek yogurt if dairy is okay. If you use a sweetened flavor yogurt, you may not need maple syrup so taste-test.
Peanut Butter. This keeps the frozen yogurt from freezing too hard and adds protein. You can use any nut butter as long as it's runny and not dry.
Cocoa powder. Unsweetened cocoa powder or cacao powder adds chocolate flavor, as well as mood boosting magnesium and fiber.
Maple syrup. Maple syrup adds a caramel flavor and helps the pops from freezing rock hard. Date paste can also be used.
Vanilla extract + salt.
Chocolate chips. To melt with coconut oil for a thin chocolate shell.

Step by Step Instructions
For more detail, visit the complete recipe at the bottom of this post, but here are general steps.
Step 1: To a bowl, add the yogurt, flour, cocoa powder, maple syrup and peanut butter.
Step 2: Stir with a spoon into a batter. Add a teaspoon or 2 of milk if the texture seems too dry, or add flour if it seems drippy-wet.
Step 3: Scoop the batter with a large or medium-sized scoop. Level the circles with a spoon, press in popsicles sticks, sprinkle with chocolate chips, optional, and freeze for 30 minutes or until you can pick them up.
Step 4: Melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil for 1 minute in the microwave. Allow the melted chocolate to cool 2 minutes, then dip the frozen bars in, shake and lay on a fresh piece of parchment.
Step 5: The coating will firm quickly because the bars are frozen. Enjoy!
Storage
Store leftovers in an air tight container in the freezer for up to 3 months.
Recipe Tips
📌Use any kind of yogurt. It can be plain, non fat or full fat. To keep the bars vegan and dairy free, use cashew or coconut yogurt. If you use a flavored yogurt or sweetened one, adjust the maple syrup you add so the bars are not too sweet.
📌You can use any peanut butter but it should be runny with only peanuts and salt in the ingredients for health. If it appears dry, you can try microwaving the jar for 10 second increments and stir to make it creamy.
📌The chocolate brand you use will influence the flavor and health and dietary definition of these yogurt bars. Use Enjoylife to keep the bars dairy free and vegan.
FAQS
Homemade frozen yogurt bars are healthy made with plain yogurt, maple syrup, peanut butter and almond flour, they are higher in protein, refined-sugar-free, and lower in calories than the commercial yogurt bars.
If you freeze yogurt alone it might be too icy and hard to eat, but if you stir in some peanut butter or dates, both ingredients will prevent the yogurt from freezing hard and will be easier to eat.
