⭐ Why Make Samoa Ice Cream?
Samoa ice cream has the flavors of the Girl Scout cookie - coconut, caramel and chocolate - and is made in a blender with healthy dairy free ingredients.
- High-protein: 25g of protein without any added protein powder
- Dairy-free & vegan: Easily customizable based on your yogurt choice
- Blender-made: No ice cream maker needed
- No refined sugar: Sweetened with maple syrup or dates
- Flavor of Samoa cookies: Coconut, chocolate, and caramel in every bite
🥄 Ingredients

- Yogurt – Use dairy-free or regular. Greek yogurt boosts protein, but you may need extra sweetener to offset the tartness.
- Cashew butter – Or almond butter. Avoid peanut butter if you want a true caramel flavor.
- Maple syrup – Or use homemade date paste for a smoother texture and natural sweetness.
- Salted caramel sauce – Fold it in before freezing (recipe below).
- Toppings – Melted chocolate and shredded coconut for that Samoa cookie crunch.
Make Samoa Ice Cream with Cottage Cheese
Want to hop on the cottage cheese ice cream trend? You can make Samoa Ice Cream using cottage cheese if you don't need the ice cream to be dairy free, substitute the yogurt in this recipe for plain cottage cheese. Just be sure to blend a bit longer.
See the recipe card at the bottom for full information on ingredients and quantities.

🧊 Tip: Don’t freeze overnight in a loaf pan or it will be too hard to scoop. Freeze in individual portions after 2–3 hours for easy serving later.

📦 Storage Tips
- Store in individual sealed containers in the freezer.
- Microwave each portion for 30 seconds before serving.
- Keeps for 1–2 months in the freezer.
Recipe Tips
- Use almond or cashew butter to avoid a peanut flavor.
- For best scooping texture, freeze just 2–3 hours after blending.
- You can also use an ice cream maker – chill the tub overnight and chill the mixture for 20 minutes before processing. I use this ice cream maker machine, it's budget friendly and works great.

Optional Additions
- Chocolate Magic Shell: Make one of my 3 magic shell flavors and drizzle on to crack!

Notes
- Use almond butter or cashew butter to avoid an overly peanuty flavor.
- You can use an ice cream maker, and after 20 minutes it will resemble soft serve.
- Freeze about 3 hours in order to achieve a scooping texture straight from the blender.
- Freezing the ice cream overnight will make it brick hard so freeze like that in single serve portions so you can microwave for 30 seconds to thaw.
