    Aquafaba Mango Peaches Lemon Smoothie

    Mango Smoothie

Mango smoothies are summer in a jar. The only way to make this smoothie better is to add fluffy aquafaba. Not only is aquafaba healthy - liquid from a chickpea can - it is also low calorie and puts an airy texture into a smoothie.

    Ingredients in This Mango Smoothie

Mango - fresh or frozen. However at least one ingredient must be frozen, mango or pineapple or milk.

Pineapple - the perfect tropical and yet sweet partner for mango.

Milk - freeze in an ice cube tray night before. Never add water to a smoothie.

Aquafaba - an interesting thickener. The liquid from an unsalted can of chickpeas, blended first into a froth, before adding other ingredients.

Use Fresh or Frozen Mangos in Smoothies

To use fresh mangos, know that 1 medium mango can be peeled and chopped to fill one cup. Be sure to freeze the chopped mango fruit the night before for best texture in your smoothie.

    Variations

Swap the pineapple for any other frozen fruit of a lighter color, such as frozen pears (not peeled), even a frozen banana, although paired with mango might produce a too-sweet smoothie.

Swap the milk for a dairy-free but unsweetened yogurt, or chilled coconut water.

Add protein and omegas in the form of a handful of chia seeds.

    FAQS

Is this Mango Smoothie Vegan & Dairy-Free?

As are all my smoothies, this mango smoothie recipe is vegetarian, vegan, plant-based, dairy-free, and gluten-free.

What Fruits Go Well With Mango?

All things tropical! So add coconut or papaya instead of pineapple.

What is a Mango Smoothie Made Of?

Basically mangos and milk, however adding another fruit is a good idea because mango has a mild flavor. Also it's easy to adjust it to fit any diet - vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free, gluten-free.
