These easy chocolate date bites are made with 3 simple ingredients, are inexpensive to make and are similar to the viral date bark. A no bake healthy snack candy that is dairy free, gluten-free, refined sugar free.

    date bites.

Healthy homemade chocolate date bites are an easy no-bake treat made with just 3 ingredients. Like the viral date bark which is just dates, peanut butter and chocolate, these bite-sized date snacks are high in protein and fiber. They are made with medjool dates, a healthy no glycemic fruit. I used this ice cube tray, but you can use your own.

    Why Date Bites Recipe Works

    • This no bake date snack has a sweet caramel flavor, and protein from nut butter.
    • Inexpensive. You can control how few bites you make; you don't need to use dozens as you do with the viral date bark.
    • No oven needed, made in a few minutes.
    • Taste like a mini-sized Snicker's bar.

Tip: Use Medjool dates which are larger and softer and best for this recipe. They are easy to find in packages in the produce section of most supermarkets.

    Ingredients Needed

    date bites.
    • Chocolate chips. Use a quality dairy-free brand like Enjoylife or chop up your favorite chocolate bar.
    • Dates. Use Medjool dates. Soak them for 2 minutes in boiled water, pit and chop in half, and the chop those halves in half.
    • Peanut butter. Use a runny healthy kind with only peanuts as ingredients, no added sugar.
