Ingredients for Vanilla Date Smoothie
- Dates. Use medjool dates, soaked for 10 minutes and pitted. These add the healthy caramel base.
- Cauliflower. I use frozen and riced cauliflower but any cauliflower works - just be sure it is frozen first.
- Yogurt. I used dairy free yogurt, but Greek yogurt works as well if you don't need dairy free.
- Rolled oats. Adds fiber and nutrition.
- Chia seeds. These add an incredible amount of protein and fiber, as well as thicken the texture.
- Vanilla. The star flavor of the show - use a quality vanilla extract, or even vanilla extra plus a scrapped vanilla pod or vanilla paste.
- Salt. Very important to contribute to the salted caramel flavor profile.
- Pantry ingredients: Spices, Milk.
