Fruit sparkling water recipes that are refreshing and healthy and take sparkling water to a party level! It takes only minutes to create sparkling infused waters in flavors such as blueberries, lemon, mango, and even mint, sage, or basil !
Fruit Sparkling Water Recipes are easy to make and so refreshing to drink. They take on the flavor of the fruit, but retain the fizzy fun flavor.
Why You'll Love This
Makes water more enticing. Water is a daily essential and some of us don't drink enough. The Mayo Clinic says women should drink 11 cups a day, and men should drink 15 cups.
Adds scents & flavors. Adding muddled fruits and crushed herbs add the most beautiful colors and delicious scents. A pitcher of fruit sparkling water on the table makes life more fun.
About added nutrition. Adding fruits or herbs to sparkling water will not add much additional nutrition. To be fully transparent, adding a small amount of fruit or herb to your sparkling water is not going to add much additional nutrition. But there will be minute addition nutrients in the form of antioxidants, anti-inflammatories, de-bloat components, and micronutrients. Still, focus on flavoring your infused water for the flavorings, and scents, not added nutrition.
Ingredients
Seltzer water. You can make your own if you have a sparkling water maker, or buy bottled seltzer water but be sure it is not flavored seltzer water.
Ice cubes
Fruits. The fruits that muddle best for sparkling infused waters include blueberries, strawberries, cherries, mango, and lemon.
Herbs. The best herbs to add fragrance and flavor include mint leaves, sage, and basil.

Step by Step Instructions
For more detail on how to make your choice of fruit sparkling water, visit the complete recipe at the bottom of this post, but here are general steps.
Step 1: Pour seltzer water and ice into a pitcher.
Step 2: Add in one or two fruits or herbs of the list of choices. Crush and muddle each choice first in a bowl before adding it to the sparkling water.
Step 3: Give the water a stir, but not too harshly since this is carbonated water and too much energy could cause it to bubble over.
Step 4: Cover and refrigerate the water for one hour at least. The water will be more fragrant after 15 minutes or so.
Recipe Tips
1. Unlike infused water, you can't wait hours to enjoy sparkling water, or the carbonation will disappear so be sure to enjoy after 15 minutes in the refrigerator.
2. The fruit you add is edible for probably a day or so. So enjoy it as long as it seems fresh to you!
3. Sparkling fruit water cannot be stored overnight, it will likely be flat by the next day.

FAQS
Yes, I use mint, sage and basil here. They add a strong fragrance and make water all the more alluring to drink. Dill, tarragon, and lemon balm also work well.
Yes! Move over La Croix. No one really knows what ingredients are in store-bought flavored sparkling water, so why not make your own and know your water has no additives.

How do you prevent the sparkling water from losing carbonation after sitting in fridge for 12 hours?
Dee
You can put off deflation for a bit using a bottle with a tight seal - I link to one in the recipe.

We love sparkling water! We don’t drink alcohol so we consider it our “fancy drink” lol. We also drink a ton of spring water, and since we’re in Ontario, we’re close to natural springs. We drink Cedar Springs & we love it!
Dee
Oh that sounds very fun, and I know what you mean about a "fancy drink"..
